Numbers were never our goal. Meaningful help is. We want our products to help people a million times over to live a more conscious and meaningful life. It's not just about organising your time, but your mind, your attention and your life.
We believe business can be a tool for change
We dream of a world where people don't rush blindly after goals that aren't their own, but devote themselves to what fulfils them and helps them grow, with respect for themselves, others and the planet.
Our mission is to help people live more consciously. Change starts within each of us and naturally spreads further, from one person to a community and from a community to the world around us.

Values we don't bend
We are building a healthy company with strong character. We don't bend our values for quick profit, and we try to lead by example: in our products, our partnerships and the way we grow.
Honesty
We don't make excuses. We own our mistakes and talk about them openly. We only say about our products what we can back up, and we show what they're made of and where the money goes.
Craftsmanship
We believe in the beauty of detail and the power of honest work. We make our products in Slovakia and Czechia, with a focus on quality and fair conditions for everyone involved in our work.
Sustainability
We choose materials with their impact in mind and turn leftovers into new products, for example we sew holders from leatherette offcuts. We make things that last. It's not “green marketing”, it's real decisions in practice.
Courage
We don't stay silent. We aren't afraid to talk about difficult and important topics – including our own mistakes. We speak openly about what went well and about what we still need to get right. Have a concern or complaint? Tell us, anonymously if you like.

We're a small team with flexible hours. We set pay openly and regularly ask what works and what doesn't.

Every year we ask how life with Žurnál is going for you. 119 people answered our latest survey, and we adjusted the 2027 edition accordingly.
Suppliers
We print in Slovakia and Czechia with printers we know personally. We build our partnerships on fair terms and open communication.
Community
We donate unsold pieces to schools. In the past, sales of our Poustre supported nature protection and mountain shelters.
Planet
Our warehouse is in Orava next to the printer, so products do not travel for nothing. We do not shrink-wrap diaries one by one. We have a climate plan and by 2028 we want to get below 1 kg CO₂e per item.
Future generations
We create timeless products from quality materials so they last and don't end up in the bin after a few months.
