Manifesto
Local and fair production
Our Žurnáls are made in Slovakia and the Czech Republic together with Slovak and European suppliers. With every single partner we build genuine relationships based on trust and openness. We believe this is the only way fair production should be done.
Sustainable materials
We only use materials that make sense: covers made from recycled leather fibre, natural chemical-free linen and papers certified with FSC®, PEFC™ and EU Ecolabel. Every detail is carefully thought through to be functional, durable and responsible, so that Žurnál brings value without unnecessary harm.
Responsibility to nature
Every decision we make carries a commitment to the environment that inspires us. That's why we focus on the real impact of our products across their whole life cycle. From choosing materials, through logistics, to timeless design.

What's inside?
This Žurnál will help you find your direction again, focus on what matters and plan calmly. For everyone who wants to live the year more intentionally – their own way.

Who am I?
Before you plan where you want to go, stop and think about what you're good at, what brings you joy and what fulfils you. About what you believe in and what matters to you. Your direction only makes sense once you set it in line with yourself.

How am I doing?
Before you start planning your goals, you need to know where you stand. Start by looking at all the key areas of your life and assessing how you're doing in each one.

Decade plan
This will be the most important exercise in the whole Žurnál. Really. It helps you see exactly where you want to be in 10 years. That way, you keep your goal in sight the whole time.

Five-year plan
This exercise helps you break your long-term goals down into smaller steps, area by area. That makes short-term planning much easier.

One-year plan
What do you want to achieve by the end of the year? If you try to do everything, you won't get anywhere. So you choose just one goal in each area. And you go after it, come rain or shine.

Calendar
Mark down everything important, use doodles, stickers, arrows, whatever you need… Just don't forget our birthdays!

Monthly overview
Every new month is a chance to start more intentionally. In each monthly spread, you set yourself one challenge and describe the concrete steps to reach it. Set your priorities so that at the end of the month you're left not only with ticked-off to-dos, but with inner calm too.

Weekly overview
First, hand on heart, we have to tell you straight away: there's no right or wrong way to use it. Linear, drawn, scribbled or neat - your everyday planning is there above all to serve you and help you become the master of your time.

Journaling
For us, the end of the month is always a moment to think about what to improve. You pause to clear some space and name what really matters. Are you on the right track to reach your goals?
Carbon footprint
Even a paper diary has a footprint. We calculated it for the whole of 2025 and divided it per item: DEFRA 2025 emission factors, transport by parcels, services and marketing by spend (GHG Protocol). We keep refining the method together with our suppliers.
≈ 1.2 kg CO₂e per diary. Roughly like driving 7 km by car.
Production0.58 kg · 49 %
Materials, printing, binding and cover.
Running the company and marketing0.43 kg · 37 %
People, software, ads and energy, divided per item.
Transport to us0.09 kg · 8 %
Materials to production and finished products to the warehouse.
Transport to you and packaging0.07 kg · 6 %
Parcel and box.
What we do about it
- We print in Slovakia and Czechia. No air freight. Our warehouse sits next to the printer in Orava, so finished diaries do not travel for nothing.
- We do not shrink-wrap diaries one by one. We use bulk packaging to cut down on plastic.
- We ship in recycled cardboard and, when we can, in boxes our suppliers sent us goods in.
- For trips and small transfers we book shared transport and BlaBlaCar.
- We print to pre-orders. If something does not sell, it does not end up in the bin but in our outlet or in schools.
What you can do
- Order more things at once. One parcel instead of three.
- Choose a pickup point or locker instead of home delivery. So the courier does not drive out for a single parcel.
- Buy second quality and sale items. We also work with production seconds. Everything usable is cheaper in our second quality section. You save money and rescue something that would not get a chance elsewhere.
- Buy only what you will really use. The smallest footprint belongs to the diary that never had to be made.
